McAfee® VirusScan® is one of the most popular antivirus programs out now.  Its biggest claim to fame is that it is faster and uses less resources than some of its competitors including Norton.  However it constantly reminds you if you do not have McAfee's Firewall, AntiSpam, and Privacy Service, and it does not have some of the features found in Norton.

With any virus scanner there are four tasks that you must learn:

• Updating the virus scanner
• Scheduling scans
• Scanning individual files (e-mail attachments or internet downloads)
• Removing viruses once they are found
